In Earth Systems we are going to take a visual and hands on approach to science. We are on our way to finishing up our Astronomy unit and getting ready to move into a unit on why we can live on Earth when space seems so empty. I think that science is best learned through doing and participation. For this reason I have given participation points for the 1st term. I will take points away for not participating or acting inappropriate. I will work on a case by case basis for making up the points.

1. Every piece of work is a portrait of the one who produced it. We must be motivated by a higher ideal than simply meeting the artificial standard of a society which has allowed inferior performance to be acceptable.
2. Invest in your personal developement. Use your time wisely. View your current situation as a stepping stone to where you want to be.
3. Give full honest effort. Don’t settle f or just passing.
4. Set goals. Have a purose and work toward it.
